GM 4L80E Valve Body 1997-2003

This listing is for a Remanufactured GM 4L80E Valve Body, model years 1997-2003, with a Black Holley EPC type solenoid and a rear position cooler return.

This valve body is better than OEM, it features many upgrades to increase reliability over the standard OEM valve body.

These upgrades include: upgraded TCC Regulator and Actuator Limit Valves, new EPC, and Shift Solenoids. All other solenoids are tested and rebuilt or replaced with new.

Some early models of the 4L80E Valve Body have a screw-in temperature sensor, as opposed to the temperature sensor being in the wiring harness. The location of the temperature sensor makes a difference, please make sure you have the right part before ordering. See the photo below for the location of the screw-in temperature sensor.

The 1997-20003 models use the large (black body) Holley EPC solenoid with spade
terminals, whereas 2004-Up models use the (silver body) Holley EPC solenoid with a molded connector. In the above photo you can see the black body Holley EPC solenoid(1) and the rear position cooler return(2).


To identify a 4L80E from model years 1997-2003, please note that the lube hole has moved to the location indicated in the above photo(See RED ARROW above).
