This listing is for a Heavy Duty Transmission Pan with Stock Capacity for the GM 6L80, 6L80E Transmission, finished in a Black Powder Coat. This heavy duty transmission oil pan fits GM 6 speed hydramatic 6L80, 6L80E transmissions for 2006 and newer Cadillac, Camaro, Corvette, and Chevrolet and GM trucks and SUVs. There is a fill hole and plug for vehicles with the fill in the pan, such as some Camaros. A magnetic drain plug and all mounting bolts are included with the pan. This pan has been designed for:

Configurations vary so always check your vehicle. Verify which transmission you have and look for ground clearance and interference from frame cross members or exhaust components. Pan dimensions can be found below in our Technical Information section. In many cases you will need to drop the exhaust to install this pan. You would need to drop the exhaust to service the transmission with the stock pan as three bolts are not otherwise accessible.  The above photo shows the interior of the 6L80E Heavy Duty Stock Pan. No filter supports or extensions are needed since this pan is the same internal depth as the 3.3" deep stock pan. Filter and Gasket Information No filter supports or extensions are needed since this pan is the same internal depth as the 3.3" deep stock pan. On the outside, this pan is larger than the stock pan. Note: Check your stock pan size. This design is based on a stock pan with 3.3" depth. A Pontiac G8 owner reported that his stock pan is 2 1/4" deep. If so, you might need a different filter, such as the filter for a Camaro. This pan is designed to accommodate the reusable factory gasket. Please make sure the gasket is clean and free of any holes or nicks to avoid leaks. Three bosses are provided that can be machined for use with aftermarket sensors and gauges. If you would like us to machines and tap a boss for you there is an extra $65.00 charge, just let us know which location you prefer and what size to machine. The bosses can accommodate from 1/8 to 1/2 NPT. The bosses can also be used as alternate drain plug locations.

If the pan or cover you receive is determined to have some kind of manufacturing defect (i.e., machining problem, leak due to porosity in pan wall), PML will replace the part. If you sell your vehicle with our part installed, we will honor the warranty with the new owner. If you run a cover or pan into a boulder and it cracks or is damaged, well, there's nothing PML can help you with there. Modifying our products voids the warranty. Our products are designed to fit factory original equipment. However, in some applications, or because of the use of certain factory options and/or after market equipment, there may be clearance or fitment problems between our products and your vehicle components. PML provides dimensions and pictures so you can check your vehicle before ordering. It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner and installer to install the part correctly and to ensure that there is no contact between the PML part and other moving or fixed vehicle components.
