GM 6L80 Deep Transmission Pan, 2 Quarts Extra Capacity, 2007-UP - Cast Aluminum

This listing is for a Heavy Duty Deep Transmission Pan with 2 Quarts Extra Capacity for the GM 6L80, 6L80E Transmission, Cast Aluminum finish. This extra capacity heavy duty transmission oil pan fits GM 6 speed hydramatic 6L80, 6L80E transmissions. A magnetic drain plug and all mounting bolts are included with the pan. This pan has been designed for:

+ Cooling - extra capacity(2 quarts above stock), fins, and aluminum construction for reported temperature drops of 10 to 35 degrees

+ Step to clear exhaust routed under rear of transmission pan (loosen pipe to install)

+ Clearance - medium height maintains clearance

+ Drain Plug - on the side for safety

+ Secure Seal - machined flat gasket flange for a leak free seal

+ Strength - high quality aluminum, thick walls to add strength to the transmission housing

+ Fins on bottom of pan for additional clearance

+ Designed to work with the stock filter and the stock reusable gasket

This pan has been installed on 6L80E Transmissions in 2007 and newer Chevrolet and GM trucks and SUVs, such as these vehicles:

+ Avalanche 1500, 2009-2014

+ Escalade, 2007-2014 and some 2015 and newer, V8 6.2L

+ Hummer H2, 2008 to 2009, V8 6.2L (if with undercarriage protection, search our store for part# 11087 stock capacity).

+ Sierra 1500, 2009-2014 and some 2015 and newer, V8 5.3L or V8 6.0L or V8 6.2L

+ Sierra Denali, 2007-2014 and some 2015 and newer, V8 6.2L

+ Silverado 1500, 2009-2014 and some 2015 and newer, V8 5.3L or V8 6.0L or V8 6.2L

+ Suburban 1500, 2009-2014 and some 2015 and newer, V8 5.3L or V8 6.0L (includes HD)

+ Tahoe, 2009-2014 and some 2015 and newer, V8 5.3L or V8 6.0L

+ Yukon, 2009-2014 and some 2015 and newer, V8 5.3L

+ Yukon Denali, 2007-2014 and some 2015 and newer, V8 6.2L

+ Yukon XL 1500, 2009-2014 and some 2015 and newer, V8 5.3L or V8 6.0L

Configurations vary so always check your vehicle. Verify which transmission you have and look for ground clearance and interference from frame cross members or exhaust components. Pan dimensions can be found below in our Technical Information section.

If you have skid plates, undercarriage protection or require a lower profile pan, check our store for the stock capacity version of this pan, part# 11087. Camaro, Corvette, G8, and Cadillac vehicles with the 6L80, 6L80E transmission will also use the stock capacity pan(part# 11087). This pan can be modified for pan filling, please call or email if you want this deep pan and to fill through the pan.

Loosening the exhaust pipe for installation: You might need to lower the exhaust cross over pipe to install this pan or do a service with the stock pan. Some customers recommend loosening the exhaust flanges at the manifolds with a crow's foot socket wrench.

The above photo shows the interior of the 6L80E Deep Pan. You can see the filter supports that are cast into the bottom of the pan to compensate for the increased depth. The pan is designed to use the stock filter and stock reusable gasket, please make sure the gasket is clean and free of any holes or nicks to avoid leaks.

The above photo shows the three bosses that are provided that can be machined for use with aftermarket sensors and gauges. One location is on the driver's or left side and the other two are on the passenger or right side. If you would like us to machines and tap a boss for you there is an extra $65.00 charge. The bosses can accommodate from 1/8 to 1/2 NPT. The bosses can also be used as alternate drain plug locations.
